We are located just outside Newberg, Oregon (close to Portland, Oregon) and raise Icelandic Sheep because of all their beautiful colors and patterns, they thrive on pasture and good grass hay and alfalfa, medium sized, tendency to twin, wonderful fleeces for spinning, lean, delicious mild tasting Lamb, Sausages and luxurious Pelts .  We offer

Icelandic sheep are one of the oldest and purest breeds.  For over 1000 years they have provided fiber, meat and milk. Mature  ewes weigh 130-150 pounds, rams 180-230 lbs.. In Iceland they are primarily a meat breed. Their tails do not need docking. In North America the CLRC registers Icelandic Sheep. They are good grazers and browsers -See photos of our prize winning lambs and sheep.

We have a flock of Delaware Chickens, a heritage breed. They are a great dual purpose chicken and lay delicious brown eggs.range-antibiotic and hormone  free  eggs and fertile Hatching eggs

Dolce Farm and Orchards is an Oregon family farm. When you purchase from us you are helping keep farming alive in Oregon. Our main focus is raising and improving our Icelandic Sheep herd.

Our farm has chosen to purchase 100% wind power  credits for our electrical needs through PGE's Clean Wind Program.  

We are members of the Icelandic Sheep Breeders of North America, Oregon Sheep Growers Associaton and the Voluntary Scrapie Flock Certification Program (SFCP).  Our flock is now listed as certified under the Oregon Scrapie Certification Program.

Dolce Farm and Orchards is located in the Chehalem Mountains AVA, in Yamhill County,Oregon - one of the great regions for growing the elusive Pinot Noir Grape. Some of the nearest Wineries include Adelsheim, Arbor Brook and Bergstrom.   Our farm has a view of the Red Hills of Dundee, Mt. Jefferson and the pastoral Chehelam Valley.  We are located 45 minutes SW of Portland, Oregon, and are about 5 minutes northwest of Newberg, Oregon. 

Most of our property is planted in the Hazelnut cultivar "Barcelona", known for its large, sweet nuts.  Jams from our farm now available!
